Default 3DMARK 06 / Vantage Mark scores

Anyone benched their systems lately? My new rig scored 14,836 stock in 3dmark 2006.

Shit, I haven't even thought about it in a while. If I get a chance I'll do it.

Well I broke 16k after OCing from 3Ghz to 3.6Ghz. Looks perfectly stable at that speed and 400sb... but I'm backing off to 3.2 for a while.

Nice! I too found it better to back off the overclock just to gain some stability.

Heh... this is one badass system. I hit 3.8Ghz and 16.4k 3dmark 2006 marks... But thats just an insane OC on air cooling so I backed off again.

I also discovered this ASUS board has a built in utlity for managing your CPU speed. You basically get an icon on the taskbar that lets you setup speed profiles. It reports the Current Power Consumption from every device, and lets you specify what speed to run everything from the CPU to the FSB to the RAM to the GPU at.

So at the slowest speed the CPU is running at 1.2Ghz (200fsb*6 multiplier) and the GPU is in a very low power state. Full blast its running at 3.4-3.5Ghz. It automatically adjusts the fsb/ram/cpu to get the best possible speed for the heat limit I've set it for (75C). These ASUS boards are badass!

So... anyone have a chance to do any benchmarking this weekend?

Sweet, sounds like the upgrade was a success. I just benched mine and it is 12296 3DMark.

What specs did you end up going with?

Oh, I'd missed this.

QX6850 - Extreme Quad Core 3Ghz OC'd to 3.8Ghz
Tuniq Tower cooler
P5Q ASUS mobo
4GB PC6400 OCZ memory
Geforce 9800 GTX stock speeds
24" Samsung T240 monitor

The thing is a real monster.

Very nice! Do you know if 3dMark is optimized for multi-core processors now?
